Daddy’s Gift

Greetings Faithful Readers,

I just want to brag on my daughter. This week she started a new school (I know, mid-year is tough…but we had to or she would lose her spot on the waiting list!). She handled it unbelievably. Have you ever had to do that? Walk into a situation where you knew nobody and try to fit in? She handled it like a pro…I’m so proud of her.

My gift to her today was I spent a few hours cleaning her room on my day off. I told her when she got home to go up and straighten it out…when she walked up there she started to clap and jump around. I called her aside and told her that the reason I did it for her was because I loved her and was proud of the way she has been so brave this week. She wanted to have a friend over tomorrow, so now she doesn’t have to worry about her room being messy!

I love her so much and am enjoying watching her grow into a young lady. She is funny, brilliant, beautiful, and charming….just like her mom. I can’t believe how blessed I am to be part of this family.
