5 Things You Might Not Know

The other day somebody told me that they liked me because I am “real”. Not sure what that means…but I thought I would share 5 facts about me that you might not know. It might make me more “real” to you…
1) I am an Eagle Scout (1986)
2) I collect Pez dispensers (I have since I was 8 years old)
3) I married my high school sweetheart (different schools…but I met her during high school at Publix)
4) I was the Principal of an Elementary/Middle School for 2 years
5) Favorite Band of All Time? Huey Lewis and the News (I have seen them 10+ times in concert)

I have a stamp collection. I know, that just made me twice as cool.
Yes I find this very interesting. Fun Fact about bert #278 – I used to sing in an all Kids singing group in Las Vegas called “The ShowBiz Kidz” when I was 10.

I also used to be a philatelist (stamp collector) as well as a numismatist (coin collector)! Does wonders for your knowledge of geography as well as your vocabulary.
I love sharing fun facts with people. I got married on the beach in Lake Tahoe, in January, in the snow and 45 degrees. I worked at the mouse house (aka Disney World) in high school.
I actually knew all of those fun facts about you. Mine are:
1) I am not an Eagle Scout
2) I do not collect Pez dispensers, but FSU hats

I get the “real” comment… I might have said it…. but if I didn’t, I get it. I hope that’s a compliment to you! To me it means…..you are approachable… what you see is what you get. You aren’t one way… on one day… or in one place… and then different on another day or in another place. You are geniune Brian Vasil all the time!

5 facts about me:
1) I sing VERY loud in my car….. turn up my favorite FRC Worship music and get my jam on (which thoroughly embarasses my daughter….. be glad you aren’t in the car with us).
2) I collect rocks! Little presents from God.
3) My husband and I met on the internet… BEFORE that sorta thing was cool. (something we look back on now and say… oh my gosh… that was CRAZY!)
4) In 6th grade my friends and I were so crazy for the movie Grease 2 and the Pink Ladies… we bought pink rain jackets and wrote “Pink Ladies” on the backs with black markers.
5) Frustrated a Science teacher so much in high school that he picked up a chair and threw it at me (didn’t spend 2 years in the Principal’s office… but probably should have).
Fact #1 about Tami she likes to write long blogs.
I like Boy George. never seen him in concert but I have seen him in the news about 15 times.
